About me
Qualified in 1982 Mr Rao trained at St Pauls Eye Unit, Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool, Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen and was appointed consultant ophthalmologist in Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals in 1999.
He has wide experience in cataract surgery and treatments of retinal diseases and has strong background in macular diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
He undertakes approximately 400 cataract operations, 250 retinal laser treatments and over 400 macular degeneration treatment procedures annually.
