About me

Dr Fofaria is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician with a specialist interest in the treatment of digestive disorders.

He regularly sees patients with inflammatory bowel disease, IBS, acid reflux, non-specific abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation disorders and those with concerns regarding GI cancers.

He completed further research and an advanced endoscopy Fellowship at St Mark's Hospital. He is fully accredited in upper and lower GI tract endoscopy (including removing polyps) in addition to being an endoscopy trainer.

Dr Fofaria qualified with Distinction from Imperial College and University College London Medical School in 2009 before undertaking specialist training in the North West Thames London rotation.

His NHS practice is based at the West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust where he is the Clinical Lead for the Lower GI Suspected Cancer Service, Clinical Nutrition and Outpatients. He has received local and national awards for his work in IBD quality improvement and recently the Star of West Herts Award for Innovation and Development.

Dr Fofaria believes passionately in creating a supportive environment where his patients feel heard, understood, and confident in their treatment.
