Biography of
Dr Magdy Aglan

Dr Aglan graduated from the faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt in 1980. He was appointed as a registrar in Anaesthesia for 3 years during which he obtained a Master degree, Anaesthesia in 1984. He worked for 2 years at Suez Canal Health Authority, Egypt then 2 years in Saudi Arabia (Al-Khobar Teaching Hospital) before he continued his career in the UK since 1988.
He has 24 years’ experience as a consultant in Pain Management & Anaesthesia in UK including one year as a visiting professor in USA, Irvine, University of California (1995-96). Dr Aglan’s work extends over 4 continents (Africa, Asia, Europe & USA). In the last 9 years, he dedicated all his time to pain management.

• FFARCSI 1990 Fellow of Faculty of Anaesthetists, Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland

• DEAA 1992 Diploma of European Academy of Anaesthesiologists, Strasbourg
• FIPP 2007 Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice, World Institute of Pain, USA

• Certificate of Merit, Hospital Doctors Awards, UK 1998, 1999 & 2000
