About me

Mr James Penny is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist offering private appointments to patients in Surrey and Sussex.

Mr Penny was appointed as a consultant in 2001 to Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust. His special clinical interest is in the diagnosis and management of prolapse, urinary symptoms and pelvic pain. He has established specialist clinics for female urinary symptoms, pelvic pain and for the management of women with vulval disease.

He is active in promoting new treatments for women with vaginal prolapse and urinary incontinence and has introduced new techniques into clinical practice at the hospital.

Mr Penny constantly updates his skills and knowledge base by maintaining research reading, attending conferences and discussing cases with colleagues. He works closely with other medical and non medical health professionals so that all problems are addressed in a confidential and timely way
