About me

I have graduated from medical school in Croatia and trained in Croatia, Paris, Houston and London before taking up a position as a Consultant in Thoracic Surgery at Bristol Royal Infirmary.
I became an actively involved in further development of already well established minimally invasive surgery programme in Bristol. This development saw increase in segmental resections in our department which is currently the only one offering advanced courses with live operating in this type of surgery in UK.
I have subspecialty interests in minimally invasive (VATS and robotic) surgery, segmentectomies and subsegmentectomies, chest wall surgery, advanced emphysema surgery (lung volume reduction surgery and endobronchial therapies) and high risk lung cancer surgery.
As a clinical researcher, I have presented my original work at various national and international scientific meetings. Through my publications and current research projects I have highlighted best-practice in clinical work from a number of the hospitals that I have worked in.
I am a teacher and educational supervisor to national trainees and proud to be able to guide them through their training.
