About me

Mr. Shayah works as a consultant in Ear, Nose, and Throat surgery at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS foundation trust. He is fully accredited by the General Medical Councils and The Royal College of Surgeons. He completed his training in Yorkshire. Mr. Shayah teaches at Hull and York Medical School, and he provides clinical and educational supervision for doctors in the foundation years program. He published in many national and international medical journals.

Areas of interest

Mr. Shayah has a special interest in Laryngology and voice disorders. He subspecialises in Trans-Oral Laser Resection of benign laryngeal lesions and early laryngeal cancer. He has over 20 years experience in the management of general ENT conditions including chronic rhinosinusitis and endoscopic sinus surgery, nasal polypectomy, tonsillectomy, and snoring management. He has second special interest in the management of dizziness as he completed his research in the outcome measures on dizzy patients and supplemented his training at the American Institute of Balance, Florida, USA.
