About me

I understand how difficult it can be making the first steps in taking control of your life and overcome challenges and difficult situations. It may be that your difficulties lie within work related stress, loss of health, bereavement/grief, relationships - with yourself or others, or you may feel anxious or depressed, generally feel unable to cope or may have experienced difficult life events. You will feel listened to and begin to develop new capabilities and perspectives, increasing self confidence and self awareness.

My practice draws on many years of counselling experience, which enables me to place my client at the heart of all the work I do. I am qualified and experienced in working with evidenced based therapies which are approved by NICE - this means that that the counselling approaches I use have research evidence to show they reduce symptoms of depression.

I have a warm, positive and down to earth approach and aim to provide an environment which is safe and comfortable, enabling you to explore the things that trouble you. In this safe, relaxing atmosphere and using a blend of therapeutic approaches, you will begin to feel empowered and ready to make the changes you know you want to make. Increasing your self belief, exploring possibilities and cultivating your inner resources are just some of the aspects we, together, can work with.

I am an Accredited Member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework. My experience also includes supervising other counsellors and allied health professionals.

I offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments located just 3 miles from Doncaster town centre.
