About me
My clinical interests are in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for colorectal cancer and benign conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and diverticulosis. I also specialise in treatments for perianal conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fistula and anal fissure, as well as general surgical conditions such as hernia.
I graduated from St George's University of London in 2000. I completed my specialist surgical training in the North West London Deanery. This was followed by two fellowships at St Mark's Hospital London and the London Colorectal Fellowship (Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and University College Hospital).
In addition to my clinical work, I have wide research interests which have been established through my MSc in surgical science and a PhD both attained from Imperial College London. My research focuses on collaboration, leadership and mentoring in healthcare, which has culminated in numerous peer-reviewed publications in a broad range of surgical disciplines, as well as international and national conference presentations.
I currently work in the NHS as a consultant colorectal and general surgeon at Watford General Hospital.
