About me

I am a Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon with special interests in inflammatory bowel disease & pelvic floor disorders. I qualified with Honours from Queens University, Belfast in 2000.
I completed my basic and specialist surgical training in Northern Ireland before being appointed as a consultant, initially in the Western Health & Social Care Trust in 2013 before taking up my current post in Causeway Hospital in 2017.

My main areas of practice include -
Investigation and management of Gastrointestinal disease - Diverticular disease, Inflammatory bowel disease, Pelvic floor disorders.
Endoscopy services - Colonoscopy, Flexible sigmoidoscopy and OGD.
Treatment of common perianal conditions - Piles, Fistula in Ano, Pilonidal disease, Anal fissure.
Surgery for common general surgical conditions - inguinal hernia repair, umbilical/paraumbilical hernia repair, femoral hernia repair, incisional hernia repair.
