About me

***Currently Offering Online CBT through Video AND Accepting New Clients***

NICE TO MEET YOU

Thank you for stopping to have a look at my profile; I appreciate it and I hope that you will consider seeking support from me.

ABOUT ME

I am a Cognitive-Behavioural and EMDR (Eye Movement & Desensitisation Reprocessing) (EMDR) Therapist.) I also provide Life/CBT coaching in addition clinical supervision to other therapists.

I have a background of psychology and therapy, specifically in understanding the different life struggles and stories of people. I have had the immense privilege of working with a wide variety of people from across the world and specifically with people from many areas of the UK.

I have deeply appreciated learning from the experiences from the people I have met and believe that understanding and truly valuing others contributes to lasting change, growth and enrichment.

I am passionate about the power of change within the therapies that I offer and love what I do. I believe that it is important to be as helpful as I can and want to do this within the shortest time as possible.

In combining the latest research in neuroscience with therapeutic and culturally held wisdom I am able to help people understand and resolve the difficulties that have led to current distress.

It is possible to rewire your brain so that past traumas are resolved, your Alarm system is turned way down & the relationship you have with yourself is greatly improved.

ARE WE A GOOD FIT?

How people interact with each other is really important and especially so within the therapy space. Having a good rapport, being able to feel safe, connected and understood is all important in establishing a relationship.
Connection and safety factors can contribute immensely to the success and overall and experience of therapy and for this reason I offer all clients a test drive/ initial consultation session to see how being together in the space feels and think about if we could work well together.

WHAT IS A 'TEST DRIVE APPOINTMENT'?

If after reading my profile, you feel we could be a good fit, then I definitely would like to speak with you.

I call this first meeting a no pressure / no cost 'Test Drive Appointment' which does not come out of your approved BUPA sessions. These meetings generally last for about minutes.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A 'TEST DRIVE'?

In this meeting we will be able to discuss what has brought you to seek support and start to understand what things are happening for you.
You will have the opportunity to identify and set goals/aims for change and I will be able to offer an opinion as to what things I am likely to help you with and how.

I believe that you are unlikely to benefit from the approaches I offer, I will make suggestions on how or where to seek more fitting support

HOW MANY SESSIONS?

It is rare that I work with people for more than 20 sessions and my average is 14.
