About me

One of the most important parts of therapy is establishing a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where the you feel safe and understood. This leads on to developing a shared understanding of where the you are at the moment and where you would like to be. I work with clients to identify both barriers and strengths in working towards their goals in coming to therapy.

I am a chartered clinical psychologist with specialist experience working with people with a range of difficulties that are getting in the way of them living the life that they would like. I believe that together we can make positive changes to these barriers, so that you can feel in control of the choices you make and move towards the life that you want to live. This might involve making small changes to how you manage stress, how you communicate with others (or yourself), to bigger changes which take a bit longer to work through. We will be able to make a plan together that feels achievable.

I completed my clinical doctorate at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuropsychology. I have working with people across the life span, from children through working age adults and older adults. I have specialist training in CBT as well as MANTRA (for anorexia), but also draw on techniques from Compassion Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in my work. Before clinical training, I completed my PhD at University College London in the area of positive psychology and use these techniques in my practice too.
