About me

I am a Chartered and registered Clinical Psychologist currently working in the National Health Service (NHS) and private practice. I joined the NHS in 2003 and completed my doctoral level training, becoming a qualified Clinical Psychologist in 2008. I have over 14 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist working in adult mental health services. My NHS role is as a highly specialist Clinical Psychologist in a psychological therapies service for complex mental health problems.

I specialise in the assessment and treatment of adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety disorders, stress, psychological trauma, loss, and relationship difficulties.

As a Clinical Psychologist I am trained in a range of psychological approaches and therefore can bring a more integrative way of tailoring an intervention based on a psychological understanding of the difficulties, depending on your needs and goals. Any therapy will be informed by national guidelines and research evidence.

I have undertaken further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) for trauma.

I am trained as a Eye-movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, a recommended therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I have also completed accredited training in Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), a recommended therapy for depression and I am working towards my accreditation with IPT UK.

I can offer a psychological service in-person or online (via Zoom) at a frequency to suit your needs.

Please note, due to my NHS commitments I am only able to offer evening appointments. If you have an enquiry about therapy sessions, please feel free to email me (preferably) or call me to arrange an initial consultation.
