About me
Dr Mendall qualified from Cambridge University and The Middlesex Hospital in 1985 with distinction. I am lead gastroenterologist at Croydon University Hospital. I was one of the founders of the south west London endoscopy network covering a population of 1.2 million. I am a member of Upper GI cancer London Cancer Alliance Board.
My main areas of clinical interest are inflammatory bowel disease, GI cancer,dyspepsia and gastro-oesophageal reflux, functional gut disorders, IBS and biliary ERCP.
I have more than 90 original publications and continues an active research programme.
I recognize that many GI disorders are markers of other non-GI disorders which can have a greater impact on health and survival than many GI disordersand hence provide a holistic approach to the patient.
