About me

I went to school in Longride and Preston and qualified from University of Manchester Medical School. I completed initial medical training in Manchester. Trained in Cardiology at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and Vancouver General Hospital Canada. I have an active interest in research having been a previous holder of British Heart Foundation Fellowship . Appointed Consultant Cardiologist in 1997. I have previously contributed as the Network lead for Lancashire & South Cumbria Cardiac Network and have also been the Clinical Director of the Cardiothoracic Directorate. I have an active interest in medical education and am the education lead in Cardiology at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals and a representative at the Cardiology speciality sub-committee of the North West Deanery. I am a GMC Associate. I have also held position as the Cardiology Clinical Adviser to the Parliamentary Ombudsman. I am the LNC Chair at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals
