About me

I am a highly skilled clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with over 15 years experience in the NHS. I have previously been a lead clinical psychologist in the Milton Keynes Early Intervention Psychosis team. You will get a rich understanding of why your problems developed and how to treat them. I work with anxiety disorders (social anxiety, OCD, panic, health, GAD), PTSD, physical and sexual and emotional abuse, depression, anger, addictions, bipolar, and psychosis. I often target factors (e.g. self-prejudice, fear of the unknown) that fuel many problems. How you think about things really does affect how you feel and what you then do. I use well researched psychological techniques to help you resolve emotional distress and improve your quality of life.
I am trained to the highest psychological standards to meet your needs. I'm empathic and focused. I draw upon multiple treatments including CBT, schema therapy, CFT, DBT, SFT, and EMDR. These therapies share a common ingredient in alleviating distress. We use reliable questionnaires to inform interventions and track your progress towards treatment goals.
Throughout my life I have learned to build emotional resilience and to appreciate different aspects of my personality. I'll help you to learn how to manage your own wellbeing. We will work together to tackle the obstacles that are holding you back. Others say that I'm calm, attentive and approachable. I can provide a weekly safe and confidential space in person or online.
