About me

I am a BACP accredited and registered Integrative Therapist with nearly 20 years' experience working with adults in the NHS (Psychological Wellbeing Service IAPT), GP Surgeries, a local counselling agency and private practice. I am also a qualified Supervisor of therapists and those in the helping professions. I offer an encouraging, collaborative, practical, hopeful therapy tailored to the individual. I see people for appointments during the daytime Mondays - Thursdays.

My practice is integrative, based on the concepts of Alfred Adler (1870-1937). The Adlerian therapeutic relationship is characterised by collaboration between therapist and client, working towards mutually agreed goals, from a consistently encouraging stance.

I also incorporate aspects of Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy into my work as appropriate. All of these approaches have been proven to have a positive impact on a person’s well-being.

I have also been a tutor on a local counselling course, and have delivered assertiveness training throughout Cambridgeshire. In addition, I have a background in Adult Careers Counselling and Employment Advice, helping people in periods of change, from finding a first job to sustaining work through periods of stress.
