About me
Mr Vincent S Yip is a specialist in treating gallstones and biliary disease, pancreatic cancer, liver cancers, hernias, and all general surgical procedures. He is currently a consultant Hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB)/ General Surgeon at the Royal London Hospital. His major interest focuses on using minimal invasive approach for the treatment of complex HPB diseases. He is currently the robotic HPB lead at the Royal London Hospital, and has performed many complex HPB procedures using the Da Vinci robot.
Mr Yip graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2000. He undertook his Doctor of Medicine research degree on acute pancreatitis at the University of Edinburgh between 2003 – 2006. His higher surgical training was at the Mersey Deanery from 2006 to 2013. He was trained by imminent Professor John Neoptolemos in pancreatic surgery and Professor Poston for liver surgery in Liverpool. To advance his HPB surgical skills, he undertook his post specialist training fellowship at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong University and King’s College Hospital, London for 2 years in HPB and Liver transplantation.
Between 2015 and 2018, Mr Yip was a Consultant HPB Surgeon of the largest pancreatic centre at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, prior to moving down to London. He was the clinical lead for pancreatic cancer MDT and pancreatic neuroendocrine service. He has published extensively with over 30 scientific papers and book chapters, and numerous national/ international presentations. His current research focuses on application of clinical databases and participating in surgical trials.
