About me

Vaibhav is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist at the Manchester Andrology Centre, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He joined the North West of Englands regional centre for male sexual and reproductive health (Andrology) in 2019. He is part of the highest volume penile prosthesis implanting team in the north of England. The unit is also the regional centre for Peyronies disease and male factor infertility.

Vaibhav undertook his undergraduate degree in Southampton, and went on to complete his surgical training in Manchester and Birmingham. During his training he also gained, with merit, a masters degree in Leadership for Health Service improvement at the University of Birmingham. He went on to undertake an international fellowship in Western Australia (Perth) at one of the largest tertiary teaching hospitals in the country, where he was nominated for trainee of the year. On returning to the UK he completed a further one year specialist fellowship in Andrology at the internationally renowned University College London Hospitals Institute of Andrology. He has also completed specialist training in erectile dysfunction surgery in one of the USA’s highest volume penile surgery centres.

Vaibhav provides a high volume tertiary referral service for complex andrological conditions such as Erectile dysfunction (including penile prosthesis surgery), Peyronie’s disease, ejaculatory problems, and infertility.

Vaibhav has a keen interest in championing Mens Health research and has published and presented his work internationally. He is also a member of the European Association of Urologists (EAU) Male Reproductive and Sexual Health guideline group and the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM) young researchers and clinicians committee. He is the social media editor for the Journal of Clinical Urology, and the British Association of Urological Surgeons. He is passionate about training and education in Urology and is a member of the question writers panel for the Intercollegiate fellowship exam in Urology, as well as the British Association Of Urological Surgeons Educational Committee. More recently he has been appointed to the The Urology Foundation Scientific Committee too.
