About me
Professor Alan Lobo was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist in Sheffield in 1994 following junior hospital posts in Cambridge, Oxford, Leeds and Bristol. He was appointed Honorary Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Sheffield in 2013. His practice covers all aspects of luminal gastroenterology and he has a particular expertise in inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease) having been a co-author of national guidelines for the British Society of Gastroenterology (2004) and the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) (2011 and 2012). He is an experienced endoscopist in upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy.
