About me

I qualified from the University of Southampton in 1984. I have worked in a variety of hospitals in England and in New Zealand. Following training in general internal medicine I specialised in rheumatology. I was a consultant in general medicine and rheumatology from 1996 to 2017 at Epsom & St Helier Hospitals. I then moved to King's College Hospital in London where I do 5 rheumatology clinics per week and on-call for acute rheumatology. I have particular expertise in metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis, inflammatory arthritis (such as rheumatoid arthritis and gout), vasculitis and connective diseases.

Areas of interest

My clinical expertise includes all aspects of rheumatology. I regularly manage patients with the following conditions - rheumatoid arthritis; psoriatic arthritis; gout; polymyalgia rheumatic; vasculitis and lupus, bone problems such as osteoporosis and bone marrow oedema syndromes and stress fractures. I also see patients with neck and back pain and shoulder and hip problems
