About me

I am an integrative relational psychotherapist. That means that I see emotional distress as having roots in an individual’s relational experience. Most people who are in distress bring to therapy difficulties with relating to others or to themselves.
The goal of my approach is to help you develop awareness of how you interact with yourself and others; it also helps you to develop a sense of agency and freedom of choice. My goal is to facilitate my clients’ growth, development and change in all stages of their lives.
I see the therapeutic relationship itself as the foremost agent of change. Increasing amount of research indicates that the most significant variable which engenders therapeutic change is the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. The trustworthy and open relationship that we will develop will be the core of our work together.
There are lots of different approaches to talking therapy. My integrative training and experience enables me to use the approach to suit you. Each individual is unique and I tailor my approach to you and what you bring to find the best way to work.
As an accredited member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I act in accordance of their code of practice.
