About me

Dr Laurie Windsor has worked as a consultant since 2014 with Devon Partnership Trust.

He studied Medicine at Imperial College London and undertook his specialist psychiatry training at the South London and Maudsley Trust where he worked in various national treatment centres. He gained his membership of the Royal College of Psychiatry in 2010 and subsequent completed his higher training in Devon. Here he gained further experience of drug and alcohol addiction psychiatry and working with a broad range of people in the community.

He is passionate about working with people to ensure they can recovery from their mental health difficulties. He feels that it is vital that people feel listened to and that they feel that they are part of creating a management plan that works for them.

He now works as the Consultant for the Mother and Baby Unit based in Exeter.

Areas of interest

Dr Laurie Windsor has a broad experience in adult psychiatry and a particular interest in depression, bipolar affective disorder, anxiety disorders and perinatal mental health.

I work with adults from 18 and my subspecialties include perinatal mental health and substance misuse psychiatry. However I have over five years experience as a consultant working with a broad range of diagnoses. I don't currently assess and work with people whose sole issue is memory difficulties or requesting an assessment for ADHD.
