About me
Dr Watchorn is a Consultant Dermatologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
He obtained his medical degree from University College Dublin. He subsequently undertook training in general internal medicine in Dublin, before moving into the field of dermatology.
Dr Watchorn's dermatological experience was received in teaching hospitals serving diverse populations in Ireland, London and South West England. During his training, he was among dermatology trainees from across Europe selected to participate in Euroderm Excellence, a training programme run by the European Dermatology Forum.
He has authored publications on diverse skin conditions in peer-reviewed dermatological journals and presented work at several international academic dermatology congresses, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology. He undertook his MD investigating the role of the microbiome in the etiopathogenesis of lichen sclerosus, and remains actively involved in medical research.
Dr Watchorn has received awards, including an European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Research Fellowship and a British Association of Dermatologists Study Fellowship.
