About me

Are you looking for a professional who can safely and effectively respond to the emotional problems affecting you or someone you care about? As a Clinical Psychologist specialising in adult mental health I am trained to doctorate level, regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council, and registered with the British Psychological Society.

From working as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner at one of the first Improving Access to Psychology Therapies (IAPT) services to more recently leading a team of NHS Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, I have specialised in the field of adult mental health for twelve years.

Prior to establishing DDCP in 2017, I worked in a range of NHS adult mental health settings. This included both primary and secondary care outpatient Psychology services. I am therefore familiar with mental health problems at varying levels of severity, from general wellbeing and stress management to complex trauma and longstanding interpersonal problems.

My broad experience of adult mental health not only means that I am equipped to respond to a wide range of difficulties. It also means that I recognise work that is suitable for independent practice and work that should instead be undertaken by a team of professionals. This knowledge adds significantly to my ability to practice both safely and ethically.
