Mr Ahmed Elmorsy is a UK fellowship trained consultant orthopaedic surgeon with specialist expertise in Shoulder surgery. After graduation in1998 Mr Elmorsy started his career with a focus on the academic part and he was awarded MSc degree (2003) and MD degree (2011) in Orthopaedic surgery. Then he turned the focus to the Orthopaedic training to become an Orthopaedic surgeon. Early on Mr Elmorsy developed and interest in Shoulder surgery. This qualified him to be awarded an Upper limb trauma fellowship for 6 months followed by 18 months of Shoulder fellowship both in Royal Surrey County Hospital, UK.
Mr Elmorsy was awarded the European Fellowship of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT) in 2010 and FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2015. All that qualified him to be on the specialist register as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Mr Elmorsy’s clinical practice encompasses all aspects of Shoulder Surgery. This includes different types of shoulder replacements including Hemiarthroplasty, anatomical total shoulder replacement, reverses polarity total shoulder replacement and shoulder replacement for trauma management. More over, Mr Elmorsy provides the service for Shoulder arthroscopic (key hole) surgery and soft tissue reconstruction in addition to sports injuries and complex shoulder and upper limb trauma. Being trained as an upper limb trauma surgeon, Mr Elmorsy deals with complex Shoulder, elbow and wrist trauma including proximal humerus fractures, elbow & wrist fractures and distal biceps tendon reattachment.

Mr Elmorsy is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a member of the British Elbow & Shoulder Society (BESS) and British Orthopaedic Association (BOA).

Mr Elmorsy has numerous peer reviewed publications in the medical literature. More over, he has always been involved in teaching. During his fellowship in Royal Surrey county Hospital, Mr Elmorsy was running the department upper limb monthly teaching for 2 years. This is a teaching program attended by the upper limb team including Consultants, middle grade & juniors trainees, physiotherapy and nursing staff.

Mr Elmorsy was appointed as a trauma and Orthopaedics consultant at Salisbury district hospital in April 2017. Since then and in addition to his clinical commitments he has been involved in the department management being as Clinical governance lead for trauma and Orthopaedics.

Mr Elmorsy is married with 2 children. He is a keen squash player same as his two kids and the whole family watch the premier football league regularly.
