About me
I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trustl. I have international experience in this field and have completed structured training in both obstetrics and gynaecology in the well sought after London Deanery training programme. I subsequently developed special skills in Early Pregancy and Acute Gynaecology problems as a fellow at St George's Hospital, Tooting. I have special interest in hysteroscopy (removal of fibroids and polyps and ablation), minimal access surgery, gynaecological ultrasound, management of period problems both medically and surgically, management of perlvic pain, colposcopy and early pregnancy problems (management of ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage). I am also actively involved in risk management and clinical governance and have presented at national and International Conferences.
Areas of interest
I specialise in general gynaecology and deal with following conditions
Heavy menstrual bleeding; pelvic pain; irregular periods; primary and secondary amenorrhoea; postmenopausal bleeding, endometriosis; PCOS; ovarian cysts; early pregnancy problems, management of fibroids and premenstrual syndrome.
I also perform gynaecological ultrasound; screening for gynaecological cancer and diagnosis and management of ovarian cysts. I undertake the following procedures
hysterectomy operation; laparoscopy surgery for removal of ovarian cysts, salpingectomy for ectopic; diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy including removal of fibroids and polyps; medical and surgical treatment for heavy periods.
