About me
Hello and welcome.
I work towards creating a comfortable, safe and confidential environment where you can voice your concerns, problems and thoughts involving your own experiences and personal difficulties.
The environment I provide is warm and offers reassurance. It is important you feel comfortable enough to share your private thoughts and feelings.
To encourage a positive rapport, and the building of trust, I offer my full, undivided attention, understanding and empathy, and good listening skills.
My approach to the therapeutic relationship stems from a creative person centred approach, integrating cognitive strategies and techniques. The roots of this approach are in humanism that attaches high importance to human kind and human values. I believe all individuals have their own internal resources for growth in order to find their own healing pathway towards understanding and acceptance.
Throughout my therapy career of twenty years plus I have met with a huge diversity of adults. My counselling qualificatons and experience are relevant to working with adults from eighteen onwards.
There is no such thing as a typical day in my week.
