About me
Sarang is on the Specialist Register as a Consultant Rheumatologist since 2012.
He currently works as a Consultant Rheumatologist at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) and provides a comprehensive rheumatology service. He runs a multi-disciplinary one stop early arthritis service and a rheumatology ultrasound service. He runs a monthly combined rheumatology-upper limb clinic with orthopaedics.
He has completed EULAR train the trainers and EFSUMB Level 3 in musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is a national level tutor for rheumatology ultrasound. He regularly takes part in research and clinical trials. He is a senior lecturer at Edge Hill University and a tutor for MMED /MCH programme.
Areas of interest
inflammatory joint disease such as rheumatoid arthritis psoriatic arthritis (including diagnostic ultrasound) , and ankylosing spondylitis; crystal arthropathy such as gout; connective tissue disorders such as SLE, vasculitis and osteoarthritis
