Research interests

Dr Hothi is a research-active clinical cardiologist with over 20 publications in international journals in the fields of heart valve disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias and inherited cardiac conditions. He completed all of his degrees at the University of Cambridge: undergraduate BA(Hons) degree with 1st class Honours in Natural Sciences, undergraduate medical degrees (MB BChir) and then a Medical Research Council funded PhD. This was followed by a postdoctoral period of research at the University of Leicester during higher medical training. He was an Official Fellow and College Lecturer at New Hall, University of Cambridge and has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has been invited to review manuscripts for international journals. As a textbook author he has enjoyed successful output writing 13 chapters in two leading medical textbooks.
