About me
Dr Tom Mwambingu has been a Consultant Cardiologist since 2012. He graduated from University of Leeds in 2001 and trained at Leeds Teaching Hospitals before a period as a BHF Junior Research Fellow at the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine. He then completed his specialist training in Cardiology in the Northern Deanery.
His principle interests reside in coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiac imaging, and sports cardiology. Such training and expertise allows him to deliver timely and accurate diagnosis for the patient presenting with any of the possible symptoms and signs of cardiovascular disease, whether this be chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations or heart murmurs. The key tenets of his management are honest discussion and patient involvement along every step of the treatment process.
