About me

Mr Gev Bhabra is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He is a specialist in the diagnosis and management of shoulder and elbow disorders.

Mr Bhabra graduated from the University of Bristol before completing his orthopaedic surgery training in London, based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals. He then undertook a one-year international fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery in Australia, and a second specialist shoulder and elbow fellowship in Coventry before commencing his consultant post.

Mr Bhabra practices the most advanced arthroscopic (key-hole) techniques for the management of sports-related injuries, rotator cuff tears and stiffness. He also offers complex open reconstructive and joint replacement surgery for post-traumatic and painful arthritic conditions.

Mr Bhabra has presented and published extensively in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery. He was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) by the University of Bristol for his work on orthopaedic biomaterials used in joint replacement surgery. He is currently engaged in clinical trials at Warwick University, and is a clinical tutor and lecturer to Warwick medical students and specialist trainees on the Warwick Orthopaedic training program.
