About me

Hello, I am Dirk Hansen and I am a Psychotherapist serving Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. I am accredited with the BACP as a Psychotherapist, and qualified in the USA as a Licensed Mental Health Counsellor. With over 30 years experience in Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Mental Health, I use a professional and thoughtful approach to guide you through difficult experiences - providing support and insight to help you better understand your reactions and emotions, and to find ways to cope with your current circumstances.

I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy to individuals for a variety of problems including anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, adjustment to change, panic and sleep difficulties, post traumatic stress, obsessive compulsive disorder, anger, and social/relational issues.

I hope to share with you simple yet effective ways to gain relief and hope - by examining your perceptions and learning new ways of approaching the issues you face. I use a unique combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Solutions Focused therapies: all shown to help individuals move forward in times of difficulty.
