About me
I am a qualified mental health nurse (RMHN) with over 20 years of working with people with psychological and emotional difficulties in a variety of settings in the National Health Service. I trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist in 2008 and offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) both of which are recommended by NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) for the treatment of depression and anxiety problems. I spent 4 years working in a Community Mental Health Team offering both CBT and EMDR for clients experiencing complex PTSD and developmental trauma and 2 years in an NHS Mental Health Complex Treatment Service with Military Veterans. I am an experienced trauma therapist and EMDR Consultant/Clinical Supervisor.
