About me

Dr Hill undertook her undergraduate medical training at University College London and the University of Birmingham Medical School. She trained in Oncology in the West Midlands and Oxford deaneries. Prior to completion of her training, she spent time as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Gray Institute of Radiation Oncology and Biology in Oxford, during which she conducted research into the development of imaging to assess the effects of chemotherapy, radiation and novel radiosensitisers on tumour blood flow.
She was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, in February 2015. She has a broad range of skills and experience. She is passionate about providing holistic care to patients, tailoring treatment to the individual. She has a sub-specialty interest in the management of upper gastrointestinal cancers and cancers of unknown primary origin, with extensive experience of treating such patients with radiotherapy and systemic therapy. She is a member of the ‘Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer’ Multidisciplinary Teams at both the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and Wexham Park Hospital in Slough; additionally she is a member of the Oxford Oesophago-gastric and Hepato-biliary Multi-disciplinary Teams and has a strong working relationship with the Oxford surgical teams, which enables her to co-ordinate surgical and non-surgical treatments for patients. She has implemented modern radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT and 4DCT for Upper GI cancers and is the clinical lead for SABR treatment of oligometastatic disease at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. She is also the Cancer of Unknown Primary Multi-disciplinary Team Lead at Wexham Park Hospital.
