About me

I am a seasoned Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 17 years of experience in clinical practice. When working with clients, I take a very down-to-earth and dynamic approach – taking an active role, rather than just listening. As a psychologist, I provide my clients with feedback, clarification and education around a given problem, as creating an understanding is paramount to effecting change. In addition to exploring the emotional and psychological underpinnings that my clients are experiencing, I also outline the practical steps that need to be taken in order to actualise change.

I don't believe that there is any one particular type of therapy that suits all people and all needs. As such, I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques that are clinically proven to be effective including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Therapy (MBSR), Compassion Based Therapy & Psychodynamic Therapy.

I carefully draw from, apply and integrate these different therapeutic techniques depending on what suits a person and their situation best. This allows clients to express themselves in a way that feels natural to them whilst also receiving that therapy which is most appropriate and helpful.
