About me

Rosemarie is a Counselling Psychologist. She has worked as a therapist for almost 20 years in a variety of settings including primary care, the voluntary sector, higher education and schools-based counselling. She has experience of working with adults, adolescents, individuals and couples.

Rosemarie works with clients to help them to understand themselves better, find a way forward with their difficulties and increase their sense of well-being. Rosemarie values individual differences and sees the collaborative relationship between herself and her clients as central to her work. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds and offers a warm, supportive and flexible approach.

Rosemarie is trained in several therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. She adapts her approach to suit clients’ individual needs and in the first session she will discuss the most suitable approach to take.

As well as her therapeutic work, she is a lecturer in Counselling Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University and has published research related to clients’ experience of counselling.

Rosemarie is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC registration number PYL 32061).
