About me

I have more than 20 years of Paediatric experience in the United Kingdom. I am currently working as Consultant Paediatrician since 2013 and Clinical Director for Neonatal Paediatric Department since 2022 in the Lister Hospital, East & North Herts NHS trust, Stevenage, Hertfordshire. In the past I have been the Clinical Governance Lead and Deputy Clinical Director for the Neonatal Paediatric department.

I always ensure to provide high quality of care to the patient’s and ensure patient safety is my priority.

Due to the unique training culture within the NHS, my clinical experiences have been rich and varied. Due to my passion to gain expertise in Paediatrics I have completed paediatric training by working in several centres of excellence across United Kingdom such as Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London, Evelina Children’s Hospital in London, Hammersmith Hospital NHS Trust in London, Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, Luton & Dunstable Hospital in Luton etc.

I have seen and treated huge numbers of children over the years with both common and complex medical conditions. My experience includes treating patients from multicultural backgrounds and I am proud to offer anyone I see the same level of service.

I keep myself up to date with the clinical knowledge and research hence I practice evidence based medicine. As a parent, myself I understand the importance of being friendly, approachable with clear and medical jargon free explanations. I see children and young people quickly and efficiently.
Multi source feedback from patients rated me as very good to excellent for the care and treatment I have provided and 100% would recommend my services to friends and family.

I have demonstrated leadership quality and excellent patient care which is reflected in the feedback from the department staff. I have undertaken many service improvement projects and audits leading to improvement in patient care. I am committed to provide high quality training and supervision to junior doctors, reflected in junior doctors and colleagues feedback.

I am passionate to teach medical students and hospital staff. I am honorary senior clinical lecturer for Paediatric students at University College London Medical School and Cambridge medical school. I am the Medical Director & Instructor for the New born life support course and Instructor for the Neonatal Simulation training, providing my services to train health care professionals in new-born life support course and simulation training.

I have published my research work and projects in the international peer reviewed journals such as American Journal of Haematology and Oncology, European Journal of Paediatrics, Global Journal of Rare diseases and British Journal of Paediatric Surgery. I have presented my research and other projects in the international, national and regional conferences. I have been awarded NHS clinical excellence award as a Consultant for 2016,2018, 2019, 2020, 2021and 2022 at the Lister Hospital, Hertfordshire.
