About me

Mr Rob McCormick is a consultant urological surgeon in Milton Keynes. He is the clinical director for urology at Milton Keynes university hospital (MKUH). He is the lead stone surgeon at MKUH and is currently heading a major project to create a new urological investigation unit. His main interests involve minimally invasive / endourological procedures for urinary symptoms, stones and cancers. Operations he performs include TURP, bladder cancer treatment, prostate cancer diagnostics, circumcisions, scrotal surgery and vasectomy.

Rob completed his specialist training through the Oxford deanery, giving him exposure to comprehensive training in a world-renowned hospital. He was fully involved in the university, acting as a tutor and lecturer for undergraduate medical students in Brasenose and Pembroke colleges, in addition to reading for a DPhil research degree in Molecular Biology. Mr McCormick joined Milton Keynes University hospital as a substantive consultant in 2016, providing both general urological services as well as sub-specialist complex stone surgery, for which he chairs the stone MDT (multidisciplinary meetings).

Rob has continued his academic work through Buckingham University by providing formal curriculum teaching and educational/clinical supervision for both the undergraduate medical students and junior doctors.

Rob spent much of his childhood in Switzerland, giving him experience of a different culture, European language skills and a keen interest in skiing. In his spare time, he likes running, cycling and training for off-road endurance events. He is married with one daughter.
