About me

Dr Chakka is graduated from India in 1997.

In the UK, he has completed an year of Advanced Pain Training in the North East of England. He has since then, undertaken specialist training in Neuromodulation from Leeds.

He is currently working as consultant at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

He is clinical lead for chronic pain services.

He is also Clinical Personal Tutor for Warwick medical school.

Areas of interest

Dr Chakka's special interests include spinal axial pain, nerve/neuropathic pain, CRPS and widespread pain including Fibromyalgia.

He is experienced in performing facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, sacro-iliac joint injections, radio frequency ablation, pulsed radio frequency ablation, nerve blocks, nerve root blocks, epidural injections, caudal epidural injections; trans-foraminal epidural injections, diagnostic nerve blocks, selective nerve root blocks, piriformis blocks, peripheral nerve blocks, trigger point injections, cortisone injections, steroid injections, joint injections, soft tissue injections, erector spine blocks, Genicular nerve blocks, knee joint and hip joint injections, shoulder injections, injections for Meralgia parasthetica, spinal injections, neck, thoracic and lower back pain . He can also offer Lidocaine infusions for chronic widespread pain conditions.

He is skilled in performing procedures using both ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance.
