About me

I am a BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor with 18 years experience in practice. I have worked within the NHS and have run my own successful private practice for 17 years. I am an experienced Trainer and Lecturer in Counselling and very much value this part of my work. I oversee the clinical placement of students and ensure they are meeting exacting standards of the profession, whilst also assessing and delivering course content. I am a qualified and experienced Supervisor and work one to one and facilitate groups.
I am an integrative therapist, working from a foundation of person centred therapy and integrating CBT and TA. I very much believe in creating a safe, respectful therapeutic space for clients to talk freely. I believe that having goals in therapy aids the process and gives direction, but some clients benefit from the opportunity to share how they feel in a non judgemental space.
I offer short term work but equally I have worked with some clients over long periods of time. I am ethical, professional and respectful of everyone I work with. I like to use humour when appropriate and am flexible with the way I work.
