About me

Mr Simon Fisher is a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) and General Surgeon. He is currently establishing a regional centre at New Cross Hospital for complex pancreatitis, gallbladder and bile duct disease serving the West Midlands and West Country. He is Regional Programme Director for Surgical Training in these regions. He treats private patients at the Nuffield Health Tettenhall, Wolverhampton.

His NHS consultant surgeon practice specialises in UGI work both Oesophagogastric (Stomach and Oesophagus) and Hepatobiliary (Liver, Gallbladder, Pancreas and Spleen). This is in addition to a large hernia repair practice and the regular provision of Interventional Endoscopy and Emergency Surgery.

Mr Fisher graduated from Cambridge University in 1999 and went on to complete his PhD at the University of London. He then undertook his basic surgical training in Cambridge and specialist surgical training on the South West Rotation. Following this he spent a year working at the Birmingham Liver Unit and a further Fellowship year at the Liverpool Liver Unit working under renowned experts in the field at these 2 national specialist centres.
