About me
My passion is to use my experience of injury management at elite club level to deliver elite sports and musculoskeletal medicine services within the private sector. I am a Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine. I treat professional, amateur and development athletes in addition to musculoskeletal problems in the general population. I take great pride in working with patients to achieve their personal objectives with a multidisciplinary approach. I worked at Chelsea Football Club from 2009 to 2015 first as Academy Reserve Team doctor and then as First Team Doctor and Assistant medical Director. I was fortunate to have been part of a team that achieved winning titles in Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Capital One cup. I have worked with the England Woman's football team and the Olympic Medical Institute in the build-up to the Beijing Olympics. I have a keen interest in regenerative medicine and injury prevention. I was one of the pioneering doctors to use Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in the UK and supports its use in acute and chronic injury management. I have experience in post- PRP intervention protocols and rehabilitation. I have been a contributing doctor to the UEFA Elite Club Injury Study and I was awarded the Nottingham University Special Excellence Award. I am a Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine and have contributed chapters to peer reviewed journals as well as being the Keynote presenter at the Australasian College for Sport and Exercise Physicians Conference. I am a member The British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) which is the largest multidisciplinary sports medicine organisation in the UK.
