About me

Mr Komath is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Clinical Lead for Facial Deformity Surgery at the Royal Free London NHS Trust holding dual medical and dental surgery qualifications. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is also a member of the General Dental Council, General Medical Council, and the European Association for Cranio Maxillo Facial Surgery.
Mr Komath qualified in 2009 and has undertaken specialist surgical posts in London’s leading hospitals including University College London Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and Northwick Park Hospital before joining the Royal Free London in 2016.
He has extensive experience of international teaching and practice and currently lectures overseas. Mr Komath is dedicated to supporting junior professionals and undertakes mentoring, teaching and examining at University College London.

He performs all aspects of head and neck medical and surgical care including the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, treatment of facial pain, temporomandibular joint and salivary duct disorders, facial injury, trauma and cosmetic procedures, and all aspects of head and neck skin and oral cancers. Mr Komath also offers a dedicated gentle paediatric service including the removal of teeth.

His areas of specialist interest include the early detection and minimally invasive treatment of SCC skin cancers.


Practice
Mr Komath is committed to a patient centred approach building an effective treatment plan with the patient to incorporate effective options with the individual needs and wishes of the patient.

Mr Komath provides consultations and performs surgical treatment at a range of locations in order to accommodate the needs of the busiest of London and international clients, and a convenient local service for clients from the Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Essex areas.
Flexible appointments are available including early and late appointments and accessible times for younger patient and families with commitments and school holidays.
Mr Komath also offers joint appointments with colleagues from other specialities, such as dermatology or orthodontics, to minimise visits and to offer comprehensive inclusive treatment options for patients with complex conditions.
Mr. Komath accepts direct referrals for ulcers and lumps of the head, neck ,face and mouth.
