About me
I have 32 years of experience working as a psychologist and psychoanalytically trained psychotherapist 17 years of which was in private practice in South Africa. In South Africa I was the Consultant Psychologist for the Heart Foundation of South Africa and one of their panel of experts. In the UK I was the Consultant Clinical Psychologist for The Tuke Centre, The Retreat, York and worked in a brain injury unit for 18 months. I was the lead Clinical Psychologist in an Acute Psychiatric Unit and an in-patient Eating Disorder Unit. I have also worked in New Zealand where I was part of a community mental health team and then as a manager of a family counselling and psychotherapy centre. I now work in private practice, Mindalot Psychology and Psychotherapy Practice, Pocklington and Seaton Ross with a with range of presentations. I am a licensed assessor for the Austistic Spectrum Disorder, using the DISCO. I am an accredited EMDR Consultant and am a Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT).
