About me

I worked in the NHS for over thirty nine years and now have an independent psychotherapy practice.
I have had many roles, including project management, designing therapeutic groups for adult service users, offering 1:1 psychotherapy to individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems and also treating clients from primary care services.
I worked as a Community Mental Health nurse for several years in substance misuse and have also managed a day hospital for older persons experiencing difficulties such as dementia and depression, Parkinson's disease and anxiety. More recently I have completed training in Dialectical behaviour Therapy which is an evidence based treatment for working with people who harm themselves and may have a diagnosis of a personality disorder or emotion regulation difficulties.
I accept self referral to my private practice in Newcastle-Under-Lyme for CBT and EMDR.
