About me

I am a general and infectious diseases physician with sub-specialty training in medical mycology (fungal disease). I am a Professor at Imperial College London where I have a particular interest in the interaction between the immune system and infectious diseases. I initially trained in Southampton before undertaking further degrees in infectious diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a PhD at Imperial College London. I lead the fungal diseases unit at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

Areas of interest

I am a general and infectious diseases physician with expertise in all areas of infectious diseases including returning travellers, Lyme disease and chronic infections. I have a particular specialist expertise in infection and immunodeficiency, fungal infections, mycobacteria infections and chronic respiratory infections.
