About me

I live locally with my young family and dogs. I am a keen sportsman and passionate rugby fan and was previously the club doctor for Bristol RFC. In addition I love walking and running along the beautiful coastline of the North East.

Areas of interest

I qualified from medical school in London. Following my junior doctor years in London I spent two years training in general and interventional cardiology at Papworth hospital, Cambridge. Following this I spent further periods of training in Southampton and Bristol and finally spent a year overseas in Melbourne, Australia where I completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the world renowned Monash Heart Centre.

I perform a large volume of complex procedures including coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty/stenting (PCI), transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography and interventions for structural heart disease.

In addition to my clinical practice, I have keen research interests in both clinical trials and the investigation of the underlying mechanisms of heart attacks. I was awarded my postgraduate research degree in 2010 from the University of Bristol and have continued to initiate and maintain my research interests.
