About me

Lucy Jones is an experienced dietitian, having worked in numerous London hospitals; including Chelsea and Westminster NHS foundation trust, Homerton hospital NHS trust and Whittington Hospital NHS trust. She covers a range of specialties including bariatrics, weight loss, healthy eating and behaviour change, gastroenterology such as Coeliac disease, diverticular disease and IBS, mental health, cardiovascular health and metabolic syndrome, allergies and intolerance, diabetes and nutrition support.
She is well known for her television presenting roles including Channel 4’s The Food Hospital, ITV’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show, BBC1’s Eat Well for Less and Channel 4's Jamie's Sugar Rush. As a dietetic media spokesperson, she regularly appears on television, radio and written press providing expert comment on nutrition news stories. In 2013, she was named BDA’s media spokesperson of the Year and Nutrition and Health’s Nutrition writer and Broadcaster of the year.
After graduating with 1st class honours in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and the Food, Nutrition and Dietetics Prize from London Metropolitan University, she has gone on to complete a Masters in Clinical Research with the University of Manchester and undertake a diploma with the National Centre for Eating Disorders. She is fully registered with the Health and Care Professions council and a member of the British Dietetic Association. Lucy enjoys translating current research from different disease states and translating this into meaningful messages and dietary plans for her clients and the public.
Lucy can also support her patients and clients remotely, using a service called Oviva. Lucy is the VP Clinical for Oviva and utilises the technology to enable her to undertake video calling in addition to app based coaching using a secure interface between your phone and her computer. This allows her to monitor and coach her patients daily, delivering better outcomes for their health.
