About me
Dr Pratsou qualified in medicine from the University of Sheffield in 2005 and continued her medical training in Nottingham while obtaining her Membership to the Royal College of Physicians. She then undertook her specialist training in dermatology in the West Midlands, before being appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in 2014.
She has presented widely at a national and international level on topics ranging from skin cancer to paediatric dermatology, laser therapy, and management of chronic skin conditions, and has relevant peer-reviewed publications.
Within the NHS, she undertakes general dermatology clinics for adults with skin problems such as psoriasis, acne, eczema, and rosacea and runs a busy weekly suspected skin cancer clinic.
Dr Pratsou is a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team and is fully accredited in the diagnosis and management of skin cancers including mole checks. She is a trained skin surgeon and removes skin cancers, moles, skin tags, cysts and warts.
During her specialist training, she spent three months exclusively working at the paediatric dermatology department in Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and now regularly treats children with eczema, acne, vitiligo, infections and birthmarks. She has a particular interest in skin allergy.
Dr Pratsou strives to provide the best care possible, based on the latest medical evidence andindividual patientneeds, and aims to provide each patient with a clear treatment plan after discussion of all possible options.
