About me
Dr. Mayur Kumar is a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust, Princess Royal University Hospital with a specialist interest in oesophageal, Pancreato-biliary diseases, Liver Disease, Inflammatory bowel disease , IBS, Coeliac Disease , GI cancer and Advanced endoscopy. He completed his specialist training in Internal medicine and Gastroenterology/ Hepatology in London and south east and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 2014 .He trained as a fellow in University College Hospital London- training in advanced endoscopy and ERCP. He currently is the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy service and GI Cancer service at Princess Royal University Hospital site.
Dr. Kumar has presented several abstracts in both national and international conferences and published papers in peer reviewed journals. He has participated in clinical research and has ongoing research interests in pancreato-biliary diseases , Hepatology and endoscopy.
He is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology, Royal College of Physicians , London and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and had previously represented gastroenterology trainees on as a trainee representative on the endoscopy committee of British Society of Gastroenterology. He is actively involved in training of junior doctors and specialist trainees.
